Staccups – A game for all the family

Staccups – A game for all the family

When I attended Blogon in September, Gemma from Life at Knutts and I played a really fun game, Staccups by University Games.

So, I absolutely jumped at the chance to review it on the blog.

What is Staccups?

“Race your opponent against the clock to see who is the fastest at stacking their cups! Colour co-ordinated, this fast-paced game is all about reaction times and hand eye co-ordination. Will you be the first to stop the clock with your cups colour co-ordinated? Great fun for all the family!”

This great family game is all about being quick off the mark, as you try to get rid of all your cups first. Which isnt as easy as it looks when under pressure.  The game is for 2-4 players, and is recommended for 8+ years.  That said the younger members of our family have also enjoyed playing along.

You don’t need any batteries to play this fun game, which is always a bonus.  I feel like we are constantly trying to find batteries in our house.

What did we think?

The beauty of this game is that it is great fun for everyone in the family.  The boys loved playing it, however I can also see it being brought out in the evening for the adults (ie big kids) to play.  I don’t know many games that appeals to all ages in this way.

The game is great for the boys, the idea is to think quickly.  They also think it is hilarious as they try to beat each other.  They are very competitive, so they love trying to beat each other.  Often with hilarious consequences.  Also it is quick to play, which is great for keeping the attention span of kiddies.

This is a great game to consider for your Christmas list.  I think it would be a welcome addition to any families game collection.

The game is available for £12.99, so an excellent price for any christmas pressies.  The game is available to buy from Argos.
