Last week we made an Easter bunny puppet on the blog for D. L wasn’t so keen on that idea, so we had to come up with a different idea for him.
He really wanted a bunny. He really wanted to use the paper plates. But he didn’t want the same as his brother. But most of all, he didn’t want a puppet.
As a twin mum I have had to get used to this. Sometimes they want the EXACT same thing. Sometimes ‘same, same but different.”
So I came up with something that looked sufficiently different for L to do and he was pretty chuffed.
What do you need to make an Easter Paper Plate Bunny
- two paper plates
- googly eyes
- cotton ball
- coloured card
- a pen
The first step is to cut two strips off the first paper plate to make the ears. Then L coloured the inside of the ears in pink.
We then stuck them onto the other paper plate. We originally tried this with glue, however that didn’t work. It just wouldn’t stick. So I had to stick them on with sellotape in the end.
L then made a face with a spare yellow sticker we had, a cotton ball and a pen.
I then cut out a bowtie for L to stick on the bunny. L was pretty happy with this craft. Simple, easy and fun to do. Oh, and I have only had to re-stick the ears on a couple of times!
If you have any fun craft ideas for Easter, then I would love you to let me know in the comments below.
We hope you have a wonderful Easter holiday. Don’t eat too much chocolate … or do, it is Easter after all!
