Aloka Rocket Night Light – Review

Aloka Rocket Night Light – Review

As the clocks changed at the weekend, bedtime this week has been … challenging…

It is light and they have really struggled to get there head around going to bed early.  Unfortunately this has not translated to them giving me a long lie in the mornings, they seem to have adjusted to the mornings just fine!

However, there has been a bit of light at the end of the tunnel, we received this night light rocket and I have to say it has made the transition so much easier.  The night light is from the fab Kiddies Kingdom and the boys have been going mad for it!

Aloka Rocket Night Light

Out of all the night lights we have used, this is definitely my favourite.  As with most parents we have managed to work our way through a few different ones, with projectors and music, colours and promises of a calm bedtime.

However this one has just struck a cord with both the kids and me.  It has 12 different colours that you can choose from and also has an option to cycle through the colours.  As the boys disagree on their favourite colour, changing colours is a must have to combat sibling ‘debates’.

There is a remote control that even the kids can use and you can set it on a timer, so it goes off after an hour.  Which is perfect, no needing to sneak into the room to switch it off.  For those that like a small light on all night, there is a dimer option as well.

This fab light also acts as a reading light, with a brighter option to choose from as well.

How much would you pay for a calm bedtime?

Well I would say that I would go all out for anything that made this tricky time of day easier.  However, this light comes in at £39.95 which I think is well worth it, especially considering how much it has helped this week.

These lamps are available in a range of shapes, including owls, bunny, bears and puppy’s.  So, really something to suit any taste or preference.

I would love to know in the comments what you use to calm your kids at bedtime?

Do you have any good hints and tips to help with this difficult time of day?

We absolutely love this! We leave it on all night on “night mode” so that when Harry wakes his room isn’t in total darkness and yet we can be reassured it’s perfectly safe and the light doesn’t get hot. I love the rainbow function, it’s a really gorgeous light and good value for all of its functions!

I love that it has a timer option. This is what I need with Holly as if you step foot inside her room she wakes! She loves rockets too, or space rockets as she calls them!! I would pay a lot for a calm bedroom x

What an awesome looking light, and would be perfect for my boy’s space-themed room. Really love the idea of the remote control too. Thanks for linking up to #MarvMondays. Kaye xo
