We reviewed KidloLand this week. The exciting app for toddlers and preschoolers.
Our boys travel a lot, so it is always exciting to try a new form of entertainment for long journeys.
When I say they travel a lot, I mean frequently doing six to ten hours in a car (with stops obviously). When we moved to mainland Europe, we knew we would be far away from family and friends. So we were aware that these long car journeys would be part of our life. The plus side is that the kids are great travellers!
When we do these long journeys we have to find lots of different ways to keep them entertained. We always have a football in the boot for when we stop at service stations, which works a treat along with a game of tig to burn off excess energy. The boys also get a lego magazine, so plenty to read through and it comes with something to construct – perfect for the ferry / Eurotunnel.
We used to have a dvd player and monitor in the car, but after we went through three sets in six months we decided to switch to ipads.
The benefit of ipads of course is that you don’t have just tv programmes on there, you can have games as well. I have to admit that I have not been hugely impressed with any apps we have downloaded for them so far. They tend to be a handful of the same types of games with not much variety.
Then we discovered the KidloLand app.
I have never seen an app with so much to do on it! I was gobsmacked to see what is included. This certainly makes this app value for money.
There are nursery rhymes, stories, phonics, songs, games, letter tracing, colouring, early learning, numbers, shapes, colours….. the list goes on.
It doesn’t matter what the kids like, there is something for all in this app.
Fun and educational, you really can’t go wrong. The animation is bright and colourful and it is so easy to navigate.
Most importantly though, the kids LOVE it!
It is so important to us to have the right tools to keep the boys entertained. Kidloland offers so much choice and variety that it makes it the perfect solution for long journeys. I love that the boys are learning as they go.
When I asked the kids what they thought, they both said they loved it. You will often find them peaking over the other ones shoulders to see what they are watching / playing.
I would highly recommend this app to anyone that has a child under the age of 5.
