I realised this week – as the #happydiaries linkup came around – that I wasn’t sure I had a positive post to include. How sad is that! So… I have decided to do something about that and cheer this blog up with some fun snaps from this week.
I entered into the world of Instagram this week. I have had a personal account for a while, but never really used it. I thought it might be a good idea to back up this blog with its very own, dedicated, Instagram page. It has been a revelation to me. It is so much fun and I am not sure why I didn’t get into it earlier. I decided to use that as my inspiration for this post.
Our house has been ridden with the plague this week; full of coughing, sneezing and very little sleeping. But (I think??!?) we may be on the road to recovery now… Hopefully, I haven’t jinxed it!
This post demonstrates the week was not all bad and it is fun when you hang out with three-year-olds. Well mostly; apart from when you are suffering from sleep deprivation and spending seemingly endless amounts of time cleaning the potty.
Bob D has not suffered as much as his brother this week. He has still had a stinking cold though. He is now back to talking 100 miles an hour and giving me a commentary to his day, so I think he is on the road to recovery. This is Bob D on the trampoline; he was so happy to be out in the garden after seemingly endless bad weather.
Snow Drops!!!! This is always a good sign, not only are they pretty but they may just mean that Spring is coming.. maybe.. say it is so..??
Bob L has had a rough time this past two weeks, one hospital appointment and two appointments with the doctor. With a diagnosis of Croup, chest infection and a horrible cold. He even went off his food for 24 hours; this caused mass panic among everyone; he eats even when he feels dreadful. Today, though, he was feeling better, has eaten a ridiculous amount of food and has played in the garden. Getting him in from the garden was no easy task!
This was mid-week. The boys and I were sick; it was pretty miserable. We watched TV and I drank tea. We cuddled in under blankets. I have to admit I secretly loved having my boys in one place and cuddled in for the day. They rarely sit still these days so I enjoyed this rare moment. The next day Bob L was back to not wanting cuddles and saying yuck when I gave him a kiss, so normal service has resumed.
This is a fantastic windmill we found on our walk on Sunday. At this point we thought we were on the road to recovery. We were not as it happens, phase two of feeling rubbish was yet to properly kick in.
Fun in the park. This is actually an adults outdoor gym. The boys love it
Daddy playing with Bob L! We had family visiting last weekend and had a lovely time. As a present for them travelling all the way from America to see us, we sent them home with the lurgy. Sorry about that!
Bob D taking his ski poles for his walk. Here he is with his Aunt and very, very happy. She is definitely his favourite person at the moment!
Our family brought these fab t-shits, along with a superman t-shirt for the hubby and wonder woman jumper for me! You may now call us the superhero family; here we come to save the day etc etc….
This is one of my favourite songs, not sure about the original but it has reminded me to have this on my playlist from now on!
Speedy Bob L on his bike. He is fast and fearless. I run alongside him with a constant fear that he is going to fall over. He sometimes does but is rarely bothered. He is stronger than I could ever imagine.
Apparently ski poles are essential on a walk – you never know when it might snow!
Wishing everyone a happy and snot-free week 🙂 Find us on Instagram if you fancy seeing more photos showing what we have been up to!
Next Friday, Bob L and Bob D are going for their MMR boosters. EEK! Wish us luck! x
